The focus of the Foul Play Community is on the October 31st, 2005 disappearance of the 25-year-old auto-trader magazine photographer, Teresa Halbach. Both Steven Avery and his then 16-year-old nephew, Brendan Dassey, were sentenced to life imprisonment for her murder. This was the subject matter of the extremely popular two-part Netflix docuseries entitled “Making a Murderer”. As a result, these controversial cases gained world-wide interest, fueled outrage, caused heated debates and produced ongoing discussion forums. At Foul Play, we believe that Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey were wrongfully convicted for this brutal and senseless crime. Our specific goal is to seek the truth and justice for Steven, Brendan, Teresa and their respective families.
